MIAMI, FLA. -- There is a report in the media that the University of Miami used a former football program employee to skirt NCAA recruiting rules.

Yahoo! Sports is reporting that former Hurricanes employee Sean Allen helped UM coaches communicate and ultimately recruit key players.

Allen has been linked to one-time Miami booster and convicted Ponzi scheme architect Nevin Shapiro.  According to a NCAA investigation Shapiro provided players and their families with improper benefits.

Miami second year head coach Al Golden was hired to clean up the school's image.

If the Yahoo! Sports report is true, Golden would be directly connected to major NCAA recruiting violations.
