ORLANDO, FLA. -- The Orlando Magic are now just one loss away from being eliminated from the NBA Playoffs after falling in overtime 101-99 to the Indiana Pacers.

The Magic battled back from two seperate double-digit deficits to force overtime but eventually came up short.

Jason Richardson led Orlando offensively with 25 points.  Glen Davis scored 24 points and pulled down 11 rebounds.  Jameer Nelson scored 12 points and dished out 11 assists.

For Indiana, David West scored a game-high 26 points and added 12 rebounds.

With the loss, the Magic are now down 3-1 in the opening round playoff series.

Game 5 is scheduled for Tuesday night in Indianapolis.

 

In other state sports news:


  • The Tampa Bay Rays lost at home Saturday night, falling 4-3 to the visiting Oakland Athletics.  The Rays were a combine 0-7 batting with runners in scoring position.  With the loss, the Rays fall to 19-9 for the season and lead the AL East by just a half game over the Baltimore Orioles.
  • The Miami Marlins won on the road Satruday, beating the San Diego Padres by a final score of 4-1.  Mark Buehrle pitched a complete game, allowing just 1 earned run on 5 hits while recording 3 strikeouts.  With the win, Miami improves to 13-14 and are currently 5 games behind the Washington Nationals in the NL East.
