TAMPA -- A person who was a voice and point of contact for the Department of Children and families is now facing a number of charges for being involved in child pornography.
40-year-old Al Zimmerman was arrested after being accused of offering a pair of 16 and 17-year olds money to let him photograph them involved in sexual acts. In a search of his belongings police found a number of pictures that showed children involved in sex acts dating back two to three years.
Police in Tampa, where he was arrested, say there is a definitely possibility there are more victims out there and they want anyone who was victimized by Zimmerman to come forward.
Zimmerman is facing eight counts of using a child in a sexual performance, each a felony charge. If convicted he could face up to 120 years in prison. He was released from jail Saturday on $120,000 bail.
DCF fired Zimmerman after leaning of the allegations and his arrest.
