TAMPA, FLA. -- The price at the pump rose again last week by more than 10-cents.

According to the latest Fuel Price Brief from Tampa-based AAA South, the average price in Florida for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline rose by 11-cents to $3.53.

AAA spokesperson Jessica Brady said rising oil prices and renewed concerns about the European debt crisis sent prices upward.

Brady said oil prices and ultimately gas prices were forecast to stabilize this month, but that has not happened yet.

"Last week shows just how volatile the market is and how diverse the factors are that affect oil prices," said Brady. "The forecasted stability in gas prices as we entered August ended up being another 10-cent increase at the pump. Motorists will likely see gas prices increase again this week."

Crude oil was trading last week around $91 per barrel.

The national average is currently $3.61, an increase of 13-cents from a week ago.
