ORLANDO, FLA. -- First Lady Michelle Obama is in the Sunshine State.

According to a release from the White House, Mrs. Obama will be speaking to grassroots supporters and volunteers in Miami and Orlando.

The events, largely meant to continue the enthusiasm among her husband's supporters, will also describe the stakes for this election.

Florida remains a battleground state, and that means a great deal of attention from both parties.

According to the White House release, Mrs. Obama will encourage supporters to register to vote and volunteer for the campaign, and thank volunteers for their hard work already.

The events are free and open to the public, but the limits of space meant that tickets were required.

Officials responsible for giving out those tickets said they had all been handed out in a matter of hours.
