ORLANDO, FLA. -- Guests who visited Universal Orlando over the weekend were treated to a preview of the theme park's newest attraction.
Despicable Me Minion Mayhem is a 3-D motion simulator that takes guests through the process of "minion training."
The ride is said to be similar to the popular Simpsons Ride.
The simulator features an "anti-gravity" room where guests experience the sensation of being weightless as well as the 4-D effects of being sprayed with water.
Park officials say guests were treated to "technical rehearsals" of the brand new attraction on Saturday and Sunday.
According to reports, many guests waited well over an hour to be one of the first to take in the new attraction.
Universal Orlando was also in the news last week because the theme park raised ticket prices twice to keep pace with Walt Disney World.
A one-day ticket to Universal Orlando now costs $89.
