INDIANAPOLIS, IN -- The Miami Heat evened their playoff series with the Indiana Pacers, winning Sunday by a final score of 101-93.

The series is now tied 2-2.

LeBron MVP led the Heat offensively with 40 points.  The reigning NBA MVP also added 18 rebounds and 9 assists.

Dwyane Wade shook off whatever was bothering him in game three, scoring 30 points.  Wade also had 9 rebounds and 6 assists.

Former Gator Udonis Haslem came off the bench to score 14 points.

Game five of the Eastern Conference Semifinals is scheduled for Tuesday in Miami.


 

In other state sports news:


  • The Tampa Bay Rays were shutout at home Sunday by the visiting Atlanta Braves, falling 2-0.  David Price gave up just 2 earned runs on 6 hits while striking out 7 but without any run support, falls to 6-3 for the year.
  • The Miami Marlins won on the road Sunday, beating the Cleveland Indians 5-3.  The Marlins led throughout the game an held off a 9th inning rally by the Indians to get the win.  Josh Johnson gave up 1 run on 5 hits and recorded 4 strikeouts to improve to 2-3 for the season.  Before the game, the Marlins placed outfielder Emilio Bonifacio on the 15-day disabled list due to a sprained thumb.  First baseman Gaby Sanchez was also sent down to AAA-New Orleans.
